You
can set an alert so that you receive a message when a particular
screen name comes online. The
type of alert you receive depends on your phone and its settings.
The alert is only good for the current session and will expire
when your friend comes online or when you sign off of the AIM®
service.
1.
Open a new text message. Type the screen name for the person
you want to be notified about. If the screen name contains spaces,
type it as one word.
2.
Send the
message to the AIM-SetAlert phone book entry.
You'll
receive a text message when the screen name signs on to the
AIM service. Your phone may beep or vibrate, depending on
its settings.
