Use the Quick Reply feature to easily send messages with minimal typing. After you select a Quick Reply, you can add additional text to the message. The Quick Reply selections include smileys, simple greetings, and common phrases that are used to coordinate activities with other people.

You can use the Quick Reply option when creating new messages, or when replying to messages sent to you. After selecting Quick Reply on the message page, navigate to the type of Quick Reply you want, select it, and then either send the message or continue typing text.

Your friends using the AIM service on a phone will see the emoticon exactly as you typed it; any friends using the AIM service on the desktop will see the graphic for the smiley you selected.
